The RouteWriter add-in imports and exports waypoints for Microsoft MapPoint routes whilst maintaining their route order. Although MapPoint can import and export waypoints as pushpins, their order is usually re-arranged.RouteWriter exports waypoints and their matching pushpins to Excel with their waypoint distance, time, coordinate, address data, and all available pushpin data fields. Routes can also be optimized. Pushpins can be matched to waypoints using two different methods. They can be matched on name (unreliable if duplicate names exist); or name and distance (slower but reliable).RouteWriter includes 'RouteReader' which is used to import routes from pushpins in a pre-determined order. This order is specified by a pushpin data field (typically a column that is imported using the Data Import Wizard). This field can be text or number, although it is usually a simple sequence number. Sorting can be in both ascending or descending order.

Calculate Mileage Charts and Tables with Microsoft MapPoint. Calculate tables for serving customers and suppliers, or to create "road atlas" tables. Can output route distances, travel times and/or estimated costs to Excel Spreadsheets.Supports ALL MapPoint routing options including fastest/shortest/preferred-roads/straight-line routes, road speeds, road preferences, and avoid polygons. Supports both the North American and European editions of MapPoint (versions: 2002, 2004,2006). With the ability to batch process thousands of routes, large mileage charts become practical compared to manual calculations.Requires MS Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. Also requires Excel. New "closest only" option allows the closest destinations to be sorted and quickly found. For example, this could be used to find the closest service locations to specific customers.The rate table feature allows sophisticated route cost calculations. "Per mile" rates can be defined for specific distance intervals, or a fixed cost assigned to an interval (eg. for delivery charges).The new pause/restart function allows very large processing runs to be restarted the next day.Supports the extra large spreadsheets of Excel 2007. Earlier versions have a limit of 256 columns. When using these earlier versions, MileCharter can span large charts across multiple tables.Virtually all features are provided in the Basic License for US$60. The Professional License (US$100) adds the "Report Closest Only", and Pause/Restart features. The free 14 day trial includes use of all of these features.
